 Moresby Hall is one of the oldest residences in Cumbria, and enjoys a semi-rural setting by the coast at Whitehaven, a harbour town with over 250 listed buildings.
This is home for Jane & David Saxon and family. You will find a warm welcome and genuine hospitality here, to fully enjoy your visit to West Cumbria. If you dislike impersonal or modern hotels you'll find that the spacious and comfortable rooms offer everything for guests travelling on business or holiday. Our rooms are en-suite and are well equipped with colour TV, trouser press, iron & board, tea & coffee and even a foot spa! Lovely after a day walking on the fells!
We have four en-suite rooms including two sumptuous four poster rooms, on the front of the Hall overlooking the grounds. De Asby has a hydro massage power shower and sauna en-suite. Copeland has a Jacuzzi bath (with lights) and a 'Tilevision' TV en-suite. Our rooms are designed only with your comfort and relaxation in mind.
Fletcher Conference Room available for 10 - 30 attendees. Beautiful decor and top quality chairs, tables and equipment.
We are fully licensed and all meals (including special diets) are prepared with care and imagination using only fresh, top quality produce. We are renowned for our delicious breakfasts and complimentary afternoon tea on the day of arrival.
Moresby is convenient for North & West lakes, fells, coast, cultural locations and tourist attractions. We are a quarter of a mile from the C2C cycleway. There are varied sports (including a golf course* 2 miles) providing interest for all ages. Guests may enjoy our own 2 acres of garden and paddock.
Other facilities include: golf reservations*, collection from rail / bus station, baby-sitting, laundry service, packed lunches, ample off road parking.
